Caring For Your Swimsuit :

We use only the highest quality fabrics from Australia and around the world in Sue Rice Swimsuits, yet swimsuits are subjected to more harsh conditions than the average garment, so they need extra care if you want them to last.

Chemicals and/or heat will cause Lycra fibre to disintegrate and your Nylon Lycra swimsuit to stretch and sag before its time. Because Chloroban does not contain any Lycra fibre, it cannot perish and will last up to 5 times longer than Nylon Lycra in pools and spas. For more info on fabrics go to Beach or Pool?

Some chemicals making up sunscreens today can fade colour and cause elastomeric fibres to perish. Please use sunscreen only on skin. Do not put it on your swimsuit.

For best results follow these simple care instructions:

  • As soon as is practical after wearing your swimsuit in Chlorine or salt water, hand wash in luke warm water with neutral soap.
  • Do not wash in a washing machine.
  • Do not roll up or store wet, especially in a plastic bag. The heat and humidity will enhance the damaging effects of any pool chemical or sunscreen.
  • Dry without delay in shade away from artificial heat sources.
  • Do not wring, rub or stretch excessively.
  • Avoid rough surfaces.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not expose fabric to sunscreen chemicals.
  • Avoid heated pools and spas. The combination of heat and pool chemicals causes fibre degradation and colour change.

AAlways follow instructions on the swing ticket and cloth label on your Sue Rice Swimsuit. Remember that swimwear is intimate apparel and cannot be returned after it has been worn unless there is a fault in manufacture. General wear and tear cannot be considered a fault.
